Winter is still here but Spring is getting close
This winter has been a mild one and the fishing in some of the lakes has been good as well. The number one lake in the country, Lake Falcon is still pumping out the big ones with lots of double digits still being caught. Choke Canyon has also been productive with a few in the 8-10 lb range biting with several in the 4-6 lb class. There's been a few warming trends lately and the local lakes to Austin are fishing good right now as well. Lake Travis is producing some good fishing right now and some have been caught up into the 8 lb range. The numbers are getting there and the quality is the best the lakes seen in a long time. It's great right now for the kids and beginners as well as experienced anglers. Lake Austin has slowed down quite a bit as of late but there's always a chance at a good one there. Stillhouse Hollow has been good for numbers, just not size. Lake Bastrop has been good for all experience levels and ages. There's some good quality Florida strain bass there.
It's always a great time to take your kids out. It's a great joy to get your kids into fishing and watch them reel them in. That's one of the greatest gifts my dad has passed on to me and his father to him and I am to my kids. I would love to help you out in doing the same so take your kids fishing today.
If it's that bass of a lifetime you are after, Lake Falcon and Choke Canyon is your best bet with big girls being caught daily. Multiple day trips only for Falcon unless otherwise noted.

Note: I practice catch and release, so largemouth and smallmouth bass are usually not kept, but if it's table fare you are after, we can catch white bass, crappie and guadalupe/spotted bass for your eating enjoyment. Cleaning services are not included.
